Resurrection of the Lord/Easter Day

“I shall not die, but I shall live, and recount the deeds of the Lord.  Open to me the gates of righteousness, that I may enter through them and give thanks to the Lord.”  Psalm 118:17. 19

Christ is risen!  Christ is risen indeed!  You are invited to join us on Easter Sunday for our 10:00 a.m. Worship Service in our sanctuary or with the broadcast on our Facebook page.  The title of Susan Goe’s message is “Remember What Jesus Told You” (Luke 24: 1-12; Acts 10:34-43). The Celebration Bell Choir will play “The Day of Resurrection.”  The Chancel Choir will sing “Christ Is Alive!” Hymns will include “Jesus Christ is Risen Today,” “Christ is Risen, Shout Hosanna” and “Come, Ye Faithful, Raise the Strain.”

Answers from last week:

1.       Normally in Israel, rulers and leaders were men.  What important judge in Israel was a woman? (The important woman judge in Israel is Deborah.  Judges 4-5)

2.       What is especially noteworthy about the manner in which Jesus heals the leper? (It is especially significant that Jesus, in healing the leper, touches him with his hand, indicating God’s love for one who is “untouchable.”  Mark 1:41)
