4th Sunday of Easter

“Acknowledge that the Lord is God.  He made us and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.” Psalm 100:3

You are invited to join us on Sunday for our 10:00 a.m. worship service, either in person or on Face Book.  The title of Jerry Hammon’s sermon is “What Does It All Mean?” (John 10:1-10; Psalm 23).  The Chancel Choir will sing “O God of Love, O God of Peace.”  Hymns for the day include “There’s a Sweet, Sweet Spirit,”  “The Lord’s My Shepherd,” and “O Master Let Me Walk With Thee.”

ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Greeters and hosts for Fellowship Hour are needed!  Sign up sheets are posted on the back bulletin board.
  • Mother’s Day Project for Stepping Stones – In honor of Mother’s Day, the Hope Circle is collecting personal care items, diapers, pajamas, etc. –anything to help the transition for the women and children clients at the Stepping Stones emergency shelter.  The baby crib is in the front hallway waiting to accept your gifts!  Thank you!
  • Spring Mission Project!  The Mission & Stewardship Team invites you to once again participate in a Spring project to purchase a Family Farm Bundle through the Presbyterian Giving Program.  A Family Farm Bundle gives the livestock, tools and training that a family might need to start their own farm for a reliable source of nourishment and income.  Please mark your gifts for “The Family Farm Bundle” and watch our fund-raising progress with the cute display in the front entrance!  Thank you!
  • Save the Date!  A “Fun (and Funny) Fashion Show, starring many of your Mingus View friends, is being planned for Saturday, June 3rd. from 1 – 3 p.m. here in the sanctuary.  Refreshments will be served after the show.  Tickets are being sold for $12.00 and we hope you’ll sell tickets to your friends also.  Gerri Runge and her team planning the show have decided that proceeds from the ticket sales will go toward the cost of future landscaping once the church foundation project is completed.  Pick up tickets after the service and help this be a success!
