The 5th Sunday after Epiphany

You are invited to join us on Sunday for our 10:00 a.m. worship service, either in person or on Face Book. The title of Susan Goe’s sermon is “Jesus’ Greatest Hits” (Matthew 5:13-20; 38-6:18.) The sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated. Special music will be “Be Known to Us In Breaking Bread,” sung by Janet Hansen & Fran Chadwick. Hymns for the day include “We All are One in Mission,” “Jesus the Very Thought of Thee,” and “Lord Speak to Me That I May Speak.”

- The Merry Widows & Widowers Group will have their monthly luncheon on Tuesday, February 7 at 11:30 a.m.
- Coming Soon! Lenten Bible Study – “Jesus Revealed: The I Am Statements in the Gospel of John. Written by popular Bible study author Matt Rawle, we will explore the I Am statements in John as works of art that resonate throughout the Gospel and all of Scripture. “Jesus Revealed” will begin on Tuesday, February 28th, at 10:30 a.m. and continue for the six weeks of Lent.
- It’s Per Capita time, once again! Per Capita funding is how Presbyterians equally and mutually share the cost of coming together to discern the Spirit’s leading for the future. This year, the amount needed for each church member in Grand Canyon Presbytery is $38.51, which is the same as the past 2 years.
Our church pays the full amount for each member in January of each year. We invite you to help support the overall church budget by contributing $38.51 for each member in your household. Any money that you contribute will be returned to the General Fund. We thank you so very much for all the support you provide to the church.
- If you didn’t receive one last week, there are copies of the 2023 Mingus View phone directory on the round table at the back for you to take home.
- Greeters and hosts for Fellowship Hour are needed! Sign up sheets are posted on the back bulletin board.
