Baptism of the Lord
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you.”
Isaiah 43:1b-2a
You are invited to join us on Sunday for our 10:00 a.m. Worship Service in our sanctuary or with the broadcast on our Facebook page. The title of Susan Goe’s message is “Living as the Beloved” (Isaiah 43:1-7; Luke 3: 15 – 23a ). We will celebrate a Reaffirmation of our Baptism. Special music will be “When Jesus Came to Jordan” sung by Janet Hansen and Fran Chadwick. Hymns will include “As the Deer,” “Baptized In Water,” and “To God Be the Glory.”

- Greeters and hosts for Fellowship Hour are needed! Sign up sheets are posted on the back bulletin board.
- What is Reaffirmation of Baptism? It is a liturgy where each baptized person is invited to re-affirm the vows of baptism. It is a reminder that we are to be faithful to Christ who offered the love and redemption of God through his death and resurrection. It is also an opportunity to consider again God’s personal call to each of us.
- Annual Reports are Due By Wednesday! Please e-mail your report to Susan Goe ([email protected]) before Wednesday or have a hard copy at the church by Wednesday morning. Thank you!
- It’s Per Capita time, once again! Per Capita funding is how Presbyterians equally and mutually share the cost of coming together to discern the Spirit’s leading for the future. Please read the attached “insert” that explains how Per Capita works. This year, the amount needed for each church member in Grand Canyon Presbytery is $38.51, which is the same as last year.
Our church pays the full amount for each member in January of each year. We invite you to help support the overall church budget by contributing $38.51 for each member in your household. Any money that you contribute will be returned to the General Fund. We thank you so very much.
