The Day of Pentecost
“All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit..” Acts 2:4a
You are invited to join us on Pentecost Sunday for our 10:00 a.m. worship service, either in person or on Face Book. The title of Susan Goe’s sermon is “We’ve Got the Power” (Acts 2:1 – 21; John 20:19-23). The Chancel Choir will sing “On Pentecost They Gathered.” Hymns for the day include “Come O Spirit,” “Spirit,” and “O Beautiful for Spacious Skies,” in recognition of Memorial Day.

- Spring Mission Project! Thank you for your gifts to the Family Farm Bundle mission project. You may still donate today. Our goal is $1,300.00 which provides a Family Farm Bundle consisting of the livestock, tools and training that a family might need to start their own farm for a reliable source of nourishment and income. Please mark your gifts for “The Family Farm Bundle.”
- Save the Date! A “Fun (and Funny) Fashion Show, starring many of your Mingus View friends, is being planned for Saturday, June 3rd. from 1 – 3 p.m. here in the sanctuary. Refreshments will be served after the show. Tickets are being sold for $12.00 and we hope you’ll sell tickets to your friends also. Gerri Runge and her team planning the show have decided that proceeds from the ticket sales will go toward the cost of future landscaping once the church foundation project is completed. Pick up tickets after the service and help this be a success!
- Looking ahead. The Hope Circle and Maizie Fox invite you to a Salad Luncheon on Wednesday, June 21st, at 11:00 a.m. at Maizie’s home. All are invited – men too! More details to come, but put it on your calendars now!
