World Communion Sunday

“O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!  You have set your glory above the heavens.”   Psalm 8:1

You are invited to join our 10:00 a.m. Sunday worship service in our sanctuary or with the broadcast on our Facebook page.  We will be Celebrating World Communion Sunday, sharing the sacrament with Christians all around the world. The title of Jerry Hammon’s message is “Our Calling Under God’s Covenant”  (Mark 10:13-15; Hebrews 1:1-4; 2:5-12).    Special music will  be “Praise to the Lord, the Almighty” played by the Celebration Bell Choir.    Hymns will include “God Is Here!,” “I Come With Joy to Meet My Lord,” and “O Master, Let Me Walk With Thee.”

ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • October Greeters and hosts for Fellowship Hour are needed!  Sign up sheets are posted on the back bulletin board.  
  • The Merry Widows/Widowers Group will meet for lunch on Tuesday, October 5th at 11:30 a.m.  Bring your own lunch and we’ll meet here in the sanctuary this time.  Also, please bring a picture of your loved one.
  • REMEMBER – Beginning October 24, 2021, you must dial 10 digits (area code + telephone number) for all local calls.  If you have not yet added “928” to all your local contacts in your phone, please do so ASAP!
  • If you are a fan of Lois Hildenbrand’s homemade Alaskan jams & jellies, we still have a good supply.  Jars are on the table at the back of the sanctuary with more in the office.  Also, if you have empty jars at home, Lois would appreciate it if you return them to the office.  She’ll pick them up sometime this winter.  If you have never tried them, you’re in for a treat!
