What on earth????  If you haven’t seen the new display in the narthex, you probably don’t have a clue what this is all about.  Your Mission and Stewardship Committee and the Session has selected a Presbyterian Mission Project for us to embrace as a major outreach project.  We have chosen a Family Farm Bundle as our goal.  This will provide a needy family with chickens, goats, piglets, and a cow as well as farm tools, equipment and training to start their own farm.  This will provide them with a reliable source of nourishment and income.  Grants from the Presbyterian Gifts Program are providing hope here in the United States and around the globe.  Each project that is funded will reflect local needs to provide the greatest impact.  Our goal is to raise $1,300 by Pentecost, May 23rd.

We believe this is a wonderful way for us to engage in outreach beyond just our congregational needs and help change the life of a family we will never meet but will know we’ve changed their lives for the better.  Check out our display in the narthex and follow our progress toward this wonderful goal.

If you are writing a check for a donation to this project, please make the check-out to the church and indicate “Farm Bundle” on the check.

Worship At Mingus View

We are continuing to offer worship in the Sanctuary and on Facebook.  We have upgraded our equipment for the Facebook services and have already received comments that they are much improved.  Brian Von Hagel deserves a huge vote of thanks for his research and recommendations as to equipment upgrades that we needed.  Steve Chadwick also had input.  And we also give a huge thank-you to Sue Von Hagel for keeping our sound system operational Sunday after Sunday.

We are continuing to practice social distancing for those joining our service in the Sanctuary and continue to recommend masks or shields.  Whether you join us in the sanctuary or on Facebook, your presence is appreciated.  If you are joining us on Facebook, please leave us a comment so that we will know you were with us.

Our Partner Church In Ganado

On April 17, Maizie Fox, Bev Williams, and RW will be delivering supplies to our Ganado friends.  They will be meeting Custer Lowe in Winslow, since the reservation remains closed to outsiders at this time.

Church Office

Susan and Jerry will be establishing times when one or the other will be available in the church office.  Beginning in May, the office will be open 10 a.m. to Noon on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Food Pantry

Our Food Pantry continues serving our neighborhood and beyond.  The Pantry is open 9 – 11 on Mondays.  Staples and canned goods are always welcome donations.  Donations can either be placed in the wagon ion the Narthex or dropped by on Mondays when it is open to the public.   If you have an interest in volunteering, please let either Jerry or Shary Hammon know.

For News About the Mingus View Family

Upcoming birthdays and weekly prayer families are included each week in the bulletin (Printed and e-mailed).  Prayer concerns are sent out via e-mail each Monday.  Also, updated announcements are sent out on Wednesdays.  Please watch for this information!
