ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Greeters and hosts for Fellowship Hour are needed!  Sign up sheets are posted on the back bulletin board.
  • Congratulations!  If you are participating in “The Year of the Bible” challenge, you have already read 2 books of the Old Testament, 1 Gospel, and you’re well into the Psalms!  Join us next Sunday after worship and we’ll talk about what we read during January & February.
  • Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent, is March 2ndPlans are underway for a joint service with the Prescott Valley Church of the Nazarene and the Prescott Valley United Methodist Church.  Details about the time and place will be announced next week.
  • “The Grace of Les Miserables” will be our Bible study during Lent.  Written by Matt Rawle, this study focuses on six themes found in the story – grace, justice, poverty, revolution, love, and hope – each represented by a character in Victor Hugo’s story.  Rawle draws parallels between the story and our Christian calling to inspire us to understand our faith and how to live it out in the world.  Join us on Tuesday afternoons at 1:00 p.m. beginning March 8th.  Books are available on the round table at the side of the sanctuary.
  • It’s Per Capita time, once again!  Per Capita funding is how Presbyterians equally and mutually share the cost of coming together to discern the Spirit’s leading for the future.  This year, the amount needed for each church member in Grand Canyon Presbytery is $38.51, which is the same as last year.  Please consider contributing toward the Per Capita – envelopes may be found in the pockets on the back of the chairs.
