5th Sunday in Lent

“”I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”  Jeremiah 31:33b

You are invited to join us on Sunday for our 10:00 a.m. worship service either in person or on YouTube Live via our Facebook page.  The title of Susan Goe’s sermon is “A Covenant Written on Our Hearts” (Jeremiah 31:31-34; John 12:20-33).  The Chancel Choir will sing “Go to Dark Gethsemane.”  The Celebration Bell Choir will play, “Alas, and Did My Savior Bleed.”  Hymns for day include: “O For a World,” “What Wondrous Love is This,” and “Here I Am, Lord.”

ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Volunteers for the Food Pantry are needed!  Please sign up on the back bulletin board.
  • Hosts for Fellowship are always needed.  If you would like to provide some of the goodies, but don’t know how to do the set-up, NO problem.  We have wonderful Deacons who will assist you.  Speak to Gerri Runge or Sally Randall if you’d like to help out!
  • The Session will meet on Tuesday, March 19th at 1:00 p.m.  Please pick up your materials in the office.
  • Mountain View Elementary School loves when we check in with them with goodies. They have a few new requests in addition to the sweats, jeans, socks, and underwear that are ongoing requests. They could again use small disposable bottles of water, crackers, and small reusable hot and cold packs. They are most appreciative of our support.
  • Mingus View Directories, updated for 2024, are available on the round table, so please help yourself.
  • If you wish to make a memorial or honorary dedication in celebration of our Risen Lord, please use the envelopes in the pews.  Deadline is March 24th.  Any small gift you make will benefit the general fund and is in lieu of “buying” an Easter lily.
  • The Mission & Stewardship Committee invites you to participate in the annual “One Great Hour of Sharing”, a special offering of the Presbyterian Church (USA).  Join with Presbyterians world-wide in sharing God’s love with our neighbors in need around the world by providing relief from disasters, food for the hungry, and support for the poor and oppressed.  The offering will be dedicated on Easter Sunday, March 31st .   Envelopes may be found in the pews.
  • Looking Ahead to Holy Week –

                    — Mingus View Presbyterian will host the Maundy Thursday           Communion Service at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 28th.

                    — Prescott Valley United Methodist will host the Good Friday           Service at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 29th.

  • EASTER SUNDAY – MARCH 31ST – Easter Potluck following the worship service.  A sign-up sheet is on the round table!
