2nd Sunday of Easter

Jesus said to them again, ‘Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.’ When he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.’John 20:21-22

You are invited to join us on Sunday for our 10:00 a.m. worship service either in person or on YouTube Live (please see instructions below in the Announcements). The title of Susan Goe’s sermon is “From Betrayal to Bold Proclamation,” (Acts 5:27-32; John 20:19-31). The choir anthem will be “Christ Is Risen.” Hymns for the day include: “The Day of Resurrection,” “In Christ There is No East or West,” and “Praise the Lord, God’s Glories Show.”

  • FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN VIEWING OUR WORSHIP SERVICE ON THE LIVESTREAM —You will no longer access the Livestream via Facebook. Go to youtube.com and then MVPC Livestream. Click on “live” and it will show a list of live videos including an upcoming video for that morning.
  • It’s testing time at Mountain View Elementary School so Nurse Stephanie Clinton says the needs are many for the students. Children come to her with various needs during testing. The little water bottles are perfect to hand out to the children during testing. Granola bars, fruit snacks, goldfish, crackers and cheese/peanut butter, and electrolyte drinks are great to keep their little minds focused. Stephanie also says they always need sweatpants sizes 6-8, gray or black are perfect for little girls or boys. She runs through her stash of ice packs, so the small ice packs that are hot or cold. They come with sleeves and can be put in the microwave. You’ve been so good in the past, so let’s show them we still are here with a heart! If you have time, take a look at the bulletin board at the back and read some of the children’s thank you notes. They will make you smile! Thanks, Mingus View!
  • Thank you for all your donations to support our Mingus View Food Pantry. Some items that we need this week include: Bagged rice, bagged beans, soups, corn, peanut butter, mustard, ketchup, cereal, Spam. We have lots of Mac & Cheese and Ramen noodles right now, so we don’t need those for a while. THANKS!
