ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Because of your generous contributions to the Mountain Climbers fund, we’ve made good progress toward erasing the fund’s deficit. Thank you! We still have a way to go, of course, so your continued gifts are much appreciated.
  • Hosts for Fellowship Hour Needed! If you enjoy our time of Fellowship following the service, won’t you consider hosting one Sunday? Doesn’t have to be elaborate and there are folks to assist you. The Deacons are going to host a couple of times a month, but we would greatly appreciate some extra help. The sign-up sheet is on the back bulletin board. Thanks!
  • Needed this week for the Mingus View Food Pantry! Especially, at the moment, we need the following items: canned soup, canned chicken or tuna, canned veggies, dry or canned kidney beans, tomato sauces, plain pasta, rice, cereals, canned fruits. Of course, we appreciate any donations! If you can help us out when you shop this week, our clients will really appreciate it! Thanks!
  • Hope Circle study books for the 2024-2025 year are now available. The theme is “Let Justice Roll Down: God’s Call to Care for Neighbors and All Creation.” Join author Patricia K. Tull as we explore God’s call to care for our neighbors and for creation. Books are on the round table at the back of the sanctuary. The cost is $10.00, if you can help with the cost of the book. Join us! The first Hope Circle meeting is September 18th!
  • Mountain View Elementary School: Thank you, Mingus View! You came through again! We collected a “bus load” of goodies for our Nurse Stephanie Clinton at Mountain View Elementary! We collected clothes, underwear, water, and snacks that she says will keep them supplied for a while. Our church also gives her money each semester that she can use for supplies. She was extremely grateful! We’ll keep you posted of new needs as they arise. Thanks again!
