You are invited to join us on Sunday for our 10:00 a.m. worship service either in person or on YouTube Live (please see instructions below in the Announcements). The title of Susan Goe’s sermon is “Going After Worthless Things,” (Jeremiah 2:4-13; Hebrews 13:1-8, 15,16; Luke 14:1, 7-14). The choir anthem will be “Where Cross the Crowded Ways of Life” Hymns for the day include: “We Praise You, O God,” “How Firm a Foundation,” and “This Is My Song.”

ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Put on your smiley face! We’d love to have more people sign up to take a turn at greeting on Sunday mornings! Only requirement is to be at the church before 9:30. Please sign up on the back bulletin board for one week or more. It will be greatly appreciated!
- Lots of clients again this week! Needed items for the Food Pantry include: CANNED GREEN BEANS! Cereal, canned fruit, canned chicken, Spam, tuna, pastas, rice, vegetables, soups, ramen noodles, condiments, boxed meals, peanut butter, and jam. Thanks so much!
- The Hope Circle study books for 2025-2026 are here. “Finding Resilience, Joy, and Our Identity in Jesus Christ” is the theme of this year’s study. Author Rhashell Hunter asks “How do we find our resilience and joy in the midst of stressful life circumstances?” “By reconnecting to our spirituality, following women in the Bible, and studying Jesus’ witness” she answers. Join us beginning September 17th, at 10:00 a.m. Books are on the round table and the cost is $14.00.
- Mountain View Elementary School: We continue to collect items to help our school nurse at Mountain View. They are ALWAYS in need of girls and boys underpants sizes 6 – 8, boys sweatpants and girls leggings, sizes 6 – 8. The kids come to her for snacks, so small prepackaged crackers and cheese or crackers and peanut butter, Goldfish, and chips keep her stocked. Also, the small bottles of water are needed. So, Mingus View, let’s get Mountain View ready for the new school year! Thanks!
- The Mission Team has put together an inventory of Medical Supply Equipment that is available for any one to borrow should the need arise. Most small items are here at the church; larger items remain in people’s homes. The list can be found on the back bulletin board. If you or a loved one has need of a walker, wheelchair, etc. consult the list and we can probably help you out.
