The 6th Sunday after Epiphany

“Happy are they whose way is blameless, who walk in the

law of the Lord.” Psalm 119:1

You are invited to join us on Sunday for our 10:00 a.m. worship service, either in person or on Face Book.  The title of Jerry Hammon’s sermon is “Choose Life”

(1 Corinthians 3:1-9; Deuteronomy 30:15-20).  The Chancel Choir will sing “Lord Speak to Me That I May Speak.”  Hymns for the day include “Come, Christians, Join to Sing,”  “Spirit of God, Descend Upon My Heart,” and “We are Called to Be God’s People.”

ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • The Mission & Stewardship Team will have a short meeting this morning following worship.
  • Coming Soon!  Lenten Bible Study – “Jesus Revealed:  The I Am Statements in the Gospel of John.  Written by popular Bible study author Matt Rawle, we will explore the I Am statements in John as works of art that resonate throughout the Gospel and all of Scripture.  “Jesus Revealed” will begin on Tuesday, February 28th, at 10:30 a.m. and continue for the six weeks of Lent.
  • If you didn’t receive one last week, there are copies of the 2023 Mingus View phone directory on the round table at the back for you to take home.
  • Greeters and hosts for Fellowship Hour are needed!  Sign up sheets are posted on the back bulletin board.
  • What is the Joy Box?  On the second and fourth Sundays of the month, worshippers are invited to share with the congregation a special joy that they have experienced in their lives.  We accept a small token of appreciation, but this is not mandatory.  We want to hear what has brought you joy recently!  Monies collected in the box are used for worship supplies – paper, candles, etc.
