First Sunday in Lent
“The rainbow that I have put in the sky will be my sign to you and to every living creature on earth. It will remind you that I will keep this promise forever.” Genesis 9:12-13
You are invited to join us on Sunday for our 10:00 a.m. worship service either in person or on Face Book. The title of Susan Goe’s sermon is “The Rainbow Connection” (Psalm 25:1-10; Genesis 9:8-17; Mark 1:9-15). The Chancel Choir will sing “Lord, Who Throughout These Forty Days.” Hymns for day include: “God, You Spin the Whirling Planets,” “Jesus Walked This Lonesome Valley,” and “What a Friend We Have in Jesus.”

ANNOUNCEMENTS
- It’s not always easy to see the sign-up sheets on the back bulletin board, but that’s because the Mingus View family loves its Fellowship time! Hosts for Fellowship are always needed. If you would like to provide some of the goodies, but don’t know how to do the set-up, NO problem. We have wonderful Deacons who will assist you. Speak to Gerri Runge or Sally Randall if you’d like to help out!
- The Hope Circle will meet on Wednesday, February 21st, at 10:00 a.m. Please read Lesson 6 and speak to Marilyn Walker if you have any questions.
- Bible Study for Lent – “Pause: Spending Time with the Psalms.” Join us beginning Tuesday, February 20th, at 10:30 a.m. This study invites us to take up the spiritual practice of encountering, sinking into, and deeply engaging with one psalm each week during Lent and Holy Week. Study books are available on the round table and are $10.00. Speak to Susan Goe if you have questions.
- Greeters are also needed. Please consider signing up to be a friendly face to all who come to worship.
- Volunteers for the Food Pantry are needed! Please sign up on the back bulletin board.
