Transfiguration of the Lord

You are invited to join us on Sunday for our 10:00 a.m. worship service either in person or on YouTube Live via our Facebook page. The title of Susan Goe’s sermon is “Preparing for Glory,” (Exodus 34:29-35, Luke 9:28-43a). The sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated. Special music will be “Swiftly Pass the Clouds of Glory.” Hymns for the day include: “Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise,” “Here, O Our Lord, We See You Face to Face ,” and “Lord, Make Us More Holy.”

  • The Hope Circle Meeting will meet on Wednesday, March 5th, at 10:00 a.m. Please read lesson 7 in the study book.
  • The Worship, Music & C.E. Team will meet on Friday, March 7th, at 10:00 a.m.
  • Looking Ahead to Lent: The season of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday on March 5th. A joint worship service will be held at 5:00 p.m. at Prescott Valley United Methodist Church, 8944 E. Sommer Drive in Prescott Valley.
  • Our Lenten Bible Study will begin on Tuesday, March 11th, at 10:30 a.m. The topic is “The Final Days: A Lenten Journey Through the Gospels” by our favorite Bible study author, Matt Rawle. Books are available on the round table at the back of the sanctuary.
  • Thank you for supporting the Mingus View Food Pantry! Items needed this week: Cereal, canned tuna and chicken, Spam, canned carrots, corn, peas, and fruit, plain pasta, boxed meals, dried beans, jellies, mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise.
