ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Greeters and hosts for Fellowship Hour are needed! Sign up sheets are posted on the back bulletin board.
- One Great Hour of Sharing is the Presbyterian Church (USA)’s special offering for the Easter season and is the largest way that Presbyterians come together to work for a better world. Through OGHS, we help to stabilize and strengthen those who are weak. Gifts to OGHS support Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, the Presbyterian Hunger Program, and Self-Development of People. Envelopes may be found in the pockets on the back of the chairs. Your gifts are most appreciated and may be received anytime before Easter.
- “The Grace of Les Miserables” is our Bible study during Lent. Written by Matt Rawle, this study focuses on six themes found in the story – grace, justice, poverty, revolution, love, and hope – each represented by a character in Victor Hugo’s story. Join us on Tuesday afternoons at 1:00 p.m.
- RW has invited the Session to meet at his home for the March Session meeting on Tuesday, March 29th, at 3:00 p.m. Please make special note of the start time. Materials will be available next week.
- The Year of the Bible questions for the Week of March 27th are:
- While “the wages of sin” is death, according to Paul, what does God offer freely because of Christ?
- What sign does Rahab use to indicate her house so that it will be spared when Israel takes Jericho?
Answers next week!!
Answers from last week:
1. What basic principle does the psalmist suggest for those who wish to have a long life? The psalmist suggests that a primary way to secure a long life is to live a morally good life. (Psalm 34:12-14)
2. Paul writes that Abraham is the ancestor of people who are linked to him not primarily by circumcision, but by what? For Paul, Abraham is ancestor first of all of those who have faith.
(Romans 4:11-12)
