ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • The Session of Mingus View Presbyterian Church has called for a meeting of the congregation on October 26, 2025, at the close of worship, for the purpose of electing new church officers. Copies of the 2026 Operating Budget will also be available for your information.
  • Needed items for the Food Pantry include: Canned chicken, veggies, soups, fruit, rice, pastas, beans, cereal, oatmeal, boxed meals, diced tomatoes and sauces.. Cash donations are also gratefully accepted for the Food Pantry Fund. Thanks so much!
  • Thanks are in order again! Stephanie Clinton, the nurse at Mountain View Elementary School, was overwhelmed at our first two beginning- of-the-year deliveries. Many of the office staff were present also and could not believe your generosity! Some new and some different requests were made this time. They love that you send the little water bottles, that’s the number one item she gives out. Clothing: sweatpants and leggings, size 7-8 and neutral (blue, black, white) t-shirts, sizes 6-7, 7-8. The little ones lose their teeth and come to the office for snack-size baggies. Medical supplies: Tums, Ibuprofen for children, and small rubber medical gloves. The children especially like Goldfish for snacks. Again, when you bring items, put them in the cute little school bus in the Narthex. Thank you so much for your help!
  • The Mission Team has put together an inventory of Medical Supply Equipment that is available for any one to borrow should the need arise. Most small items are here at the church; larger items remain in people’s homes. The list can be found on the back bulletin board. If you or a loved one has need of a walker, wheelchair, etc. consult the list and we can probably help you out.
  • What is . . . . The FEED Fund? The Mingus View FEED Fund is a benevolence fund established in order to have funds available if someone from the congregation has a financial emergency. Requests under $500.00 can be requested through either a person’s Deacon, or the pastor. Larger amounts may be requested the same way, but have to be approved by Session. The church appreciates donations to the FEED fund to ensure we have money available when it’s needed. (Please note: The FEED Fund is separate from the Food Pantry fund, from which grocery items are purchased for the Pantry.)
