ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Greeters and hosts for Fellowship Hour are needed!  Also, the Craft Faire Committee is asking you to sign up to bake for the Craft & Bake sale November 3 & 4, and to help work the Craft Faire.  Sign up sheets are posted on the back bulletin board.
  • Save the Date!  A “Fun (and Funny) Fashion Show, starring many of your Mingus View friends, is being planned for Saturday, October 21st, from 1 – 3 p.m. downstairs in Fellowship Hall.  Refreshments will be served.  This is a fundraiser for future landscaping once our ramp project is complete.  The tickets are $10.00, so see Gerri Runge to purchase yours!
  • Now that we’re back in the sanctuary, the Celebration Bell Choir is ready to resume rehearsals to prepare for the holiday season.  Director Fran Chadwick invites any interested person to come to rehearsal on Thursday, October 12th, at 1:00 p.m. and see what playing handbells is all about!
  • Looking Ahead – Put on your best costume and participate in “Trunk or Treat” in the Mingus View parking lot on Halloween, beginning at 5:00 p.m.  Last year we had so much fun so grab some treats and come out to meet the neighbors!
  • THANK YOU!  THANK YOU!  Mountain View Elementary School is delighted with the generous donations you have so far given!  The nurse has told us we don’t need to give any more band aids at this time.  This month, let’s focus on children’s clothing:  underwear (sizes 6, 8, 10), sweatpants (6-8, 10-12), leggings, socks, no jeans, please.  Many children come to school without breakfast so snack items would be appreciated:  goldfish, granola bars, fruit bars, peanut butter or cheese and crackers.  No cookies, please.  Put donations in the gym bag with the Mountain View sign.  We do so appreciate your dedication to this mission!!
