Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”  Psalm 51: 10

You are invited to join us on Sunday for our 10:00 a.m. Worship Service in our sanctuary or with the broadcast on Facebook.  The topic of Susan Goe’s sermon is “Party Like Angels” (Luke 15: 1 – 10;  Psalm 51: 1-10.) The Chancel Choir will sing “There’s a Sweet, Sweet Spirit.”  Hymns for the service include “”God, You Spin the Whirling Planets,” “Amazing Grace,” and “Eagle’s Wings.”

          Wednesday  Crafternooners, 1:00 p.m.

  • The back bulletin has sign-up sheets for several Mingus View activities!  Greeters and hosts for Fellowship Hour are always needed.  Habitat for Humanity loves to receive your homemade cookies for their volunteers.  Please sign up and Emma Hall will deliver.  Also, The Craft Fair Committee is asking you to sign up to bake for the Craft & Bake Sale in November.
  • Food Pantry News – Thank you to everyone who is helping to keep our Food Pantry stocked!  We so appreciate all of you, especially since we’ve had over 10 clients each of the past three weeks.  Please remember, though:  We are not able to distribute food items that are past their “Use By” date.  It will help our volunteers greatly if you check those expiration dates before you donate items!  Thanks So Much!
  • It’s September and that means it’s time again for HOPE CIRCLE!  All ladies are invited to attend Hope Circle as we begin a new program year.  The study for 2022-23 is “Celebrating Sabbath:  Accepting God’s Gift of Rest and Delight.”  If your idea of Sabbath is “doing nothing,”  join us to learn all the ways we’re called to celebrate this great gift.  The first meeting will be Wednesday, September 21st, at 10:00 a.m.  Study books are $10.00 and are available now.  Please speak to Marilyn Walker, Susan Goe, or Bev Williams if you’d like a book.
  • Looking Ahead!  The Mission Team invites you to put on your best costume and participate in “Trunk or Treat” in the Mingus View parking lot on Halloween.  Bring your favorite treats and come out to meet the neighbors!
  • The Year of the Bible questions for the Week of September 11th are:
