18th Sunday after Pentecost

Those who delight in the Lord and meditate on his law day and night . . . That person is like a tree, planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season.” Psalm 1:1-3

You are invited to join us on Sunday for our 10:00 a.m. worship service either in person or on YouTube Live via our Facebook page. The title of Susan Goe’s sermon is “Living Your Best Life” (James 3:13-4:3, 7-8a; Mark 9:30-37). The choir anthem will be “We Gather Together to Ask the Lord’s Blessing.” Hymns for the day include: “I Love to Tell the Story,” “Jesus Loves Me,” and “The Church of Christ in Every Age.”

ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Contributions to the Mountain Climbers Fund are always appreciated. We still have a way to go to bring the fund account out of the negative column. Thank you for all your help so far!
  • Greeters and Hosts for Fellowship treats are always needed. Sign up sheets may be found on the back bulletin board. You don’t have to sign up to greet for an entire month, one week or so is fine and a great way to meet new people!
  • Update for the Mingus View Food Pantry! All the same, please! Peanut Butter, plain pasta, spaghetti sauces, bags of beans and/or rice, ketchup, jelly, cereal, Spam, boxed meals such as noodles or Rice-a-roni, etc, canned soup, canned chicken or tuna, canned veggies, canned fruits. Of course, we appreciate any donations! If you can help us out when you shop this week, our clients will really appreciate it! Thanks!
  • The next Session meeting will be Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. Elders can pick up their folders in the church office anytime.
