2nd Sunday in Lent
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalm 27:1
You are invited to join us on Sunday for our 10:00 a.m. Worship Service in our sanctuary or with the broadcast on our Facebook page. The title of Susan Goe’s message is “Heartbroken” (Luke 13:31-35; Psalm 27). Special music will be “Take Up Your Cross, the Savior Said,” sung by Janet Hansen and Fran Chadwick. Hymns will include “Praise Ye the Lord, the Almighty,” “In the Cross of Christ I Glory” and “It is Well With My Soul.”

- One Great Hour of Sharing is the Presbyterian Church (USA)’s special offering for the Easter season and is the largest way that Presbyterians come together to work for a better world. Through OGHS, we help to stabilize and strengthen those who are weak. Gifts to OGHS support Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, the Presbyterian Hunger Program, and Self-Development of People. Envelopes may be found in the pockets on the back of the chairs. Your gifts are most appreciated and may be received anytime before Easter.
- “The Grace of Les Miserables” is our Bible study during Lent. Written by Matt Rawle, this study focuses on six themes found in the story – grace, justice, poverty, revolution, love, and hope – each represented by a character in Victor Hugo’s story. Join us on Tuesday afternoons at 1:00 p.m.
- The Hope Circle will meet on Wednesday, March 16th, at 10:00 a.m. Please read Lesson 7 and let Marilyn Walker know if you plan to attend.
- The March Session meeting has been re-scheduled for Tuesday, March 29th, at 3:00 p.m. Please make special note of the start time.
- Now that we’re well into the “Year of the Bible” daily readings, each Sunday we’ll have a couple of questions that you will be able to answer from the week’s readings. The questions for the Week of March 13th are:
- What provision was made in the law for a person who killed another person accidentally?
- What situation is Paul in when the book of Acts ends?
