ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Greeters and hosts for Fellowship Hour are needed! Sign up sheets are posted on the back bulletin board.
- Hope Circle begins this week! The study this year is “Sacred Encounters: The Power and Presence of Jesus Christ in Luke-Acts.” Each lesson will invite us to consider Jesus, “the good shepherd,” who shared the Good News through sacred encounters with everyday people. The Hope Circle meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, at 10:00 a.m., beginning September 20th. Study books are available at the back of the worship space, or speak to Susan Goe. All women are invited to attend, so please speak to Marilyn Walker if you are interested.
- The Session will meet on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 21ST, AT 1:00 P.M. Please make note of that schedule change.
- THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Mountain View Elementary School is delighted with the generous donations you have so far given! The nurse has told us we don’t need to give any more band aids at this time. This month, let’s focus on children’s clothing: underwear (sizes 6, 8, 10), sweatpants (6-8, 10-12), leggings, socks, no jeans, please. Many children come to school without breakfast so snack items would be appreciated: goldfish, granola bars, fruit bars, peanut butter or cheese and crackers. No cookies, please. Put donations in the gym bag with the Mountain View sign. We do so appreciate your dedication to this mission!!
- Who are . . . the Prayer Families? Each week, two individuals and/or families are singled out for special “prayer attention.” It is hoped that each person prays for members of the Mingus View family always, but the Prayer Families are a way to focus prayers on individuals. A schedule for the year is put together, and based on the current number of family and friends, each individual family is on the prayer list approximately every 6 months.
