5th Sunday after Epiphany

How good it is to sing praises to our God; for God is gracious,

and a song of praise is fitting.  Psalm 147:1

You are invited to join us on Sunday for our 10:00 a.m. worship service either in person or on Face Book.  The title of Susan Goe’s sermon is “Never Forget – God is in Control” (Isaiah 40:21-31; Mark 1:29 – 39). The sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated.  We welcome our new organist/accompanist, Leslee Amenta.  The Chancel Choir will sing “For the Bread Which You Have Broken.”  Hymns for day include: “Sing Praise to God, Who Reigns Above,” “We Come as Guests Invited,” and “Arise, Your Light Has Come.”

ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • It’s not always easy to see the sign-up sheets on the back bulletin board, but that’s because the Mingus View family loves its Fellowship time!  Hosts for Fellowship are always needed.  If you would like to provide some of the goodies, but don’t know how to do the set-up, NO problem.  We have wonderful Deacons who will assist you.  Speak to Gerri Runge or Sally Randall if you’d like to help out!
  • Greeters are also needed.  Please consider signing up to be a friendly face to all who come to worship.
  • Volunteers for the Food Pantry are needed!  Please sign up on the back      bulletin board.
  •     The Merry Widows & Widowers Group will meet for lunch on Tuesday, the 6th at 11:30 a.m.
  •     On Ash Wednesday, February 14th, we will worship with our friends at Prescott Valley United Methodist Church, 8944 E. Sommer Drive (south of Lakeshore, east of Navajo) at 4:00 p.m.  All are invited to worship as we begin the season of Lent.
